Have You Always Wanted to Learn Greek?

Is Greek easier than you think? Find out for yourself during a special Facebook Live session starting at 1:30 p.m. (PT) on Wednesday, November 8.

Dr. John Schwandt, executive director of Logos Mobile Education, will take your questions and explain the first steps to demystifying the original language of the New Testament through Faithlife’s new Interactive Greek Alphabet Course.

What to expect

During the live session, Schwandt will share how a new self-paced video course can help you recite the Greek alphabet, pronounce any Greek word you encounter, read biblical passages aloud in Greek, and begin learning Greek vocabulary words. The course is split into brief segments and designed to help you tackle Greek essentials in a weekend, at a cost of under $35.

Meet John Schwandt

Before coming to Faithlife, Schwandt was one of the original professors at New Saint Andrews College, where he taught Greek and New Testament for 17 years. He earned his doctorate in Bible translation at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He’s also founder of the Institute of Biblical Greek and creator of the National Biblical Greek Exam. He was general editor of the English-Greek Reverse Interlinear New Testament: English Standard Version (Crossway Books, 2006), and recorded an audio version of the Greek New Testament for the German Bible Society. If you’ve ever clicked a Greek word in Logos, you’ll recognize his voice: he provided all the Greek pronunciation in Logos Bible Software.

Join us at 1:30 p.m. (PT) on Wednesday, November 8, and have your questions ready. Dr. Schwandt will answer them live!
