Pro Football Players on Life, Loss, and Jesus

Professional football players have fame, money, and lifestyles that few will ever know. But some live for a greater purpose than football, and with a deeper motivation than winning. They live by faith.

The Faith Playbook is a three-hour livestream event featuring Carson Wentz, Nick Foles, Zach Ertz, and other professional football players who put their faith first.

They will sit down with best-selling author and speaker Dr. Paul David Tripp to talk about life, loss, and Jesus, and what it’s like to work out their faith amid high-profile day jobs.

Tickets for the event in Philadelphia sold out in less than three hours, but you can still have a front-row seat to The Faith Playbook.

Through Faithlife TV, you can stream the conference live on May 4 (7–10 p.m. EDT) and on demand unlimited times through September 30. You can even host a viewing party at your home or church—an excellent opportunity to encourage Christians or introduce non-believing friends to the gospel.

I wonder when evangelicals will stop relying upon celebrities to sell Christ and Christianity? Using big names to promote Christianity does not improve the Gospel’s power but reduces it because of the inherent reliance upon man-centered ability as opposed to God’s method of promoting Christianity (clear declarations of truth). See 1 Cor 1:17-18.
