See the Big Picture with the Faithlife Illustrated Study Bible (Print)

It’s far too easy to lose sight of the big picture when you’re studying Scripture. We’re so entrenched in humdrum of modern life, that we forget that the people we’re reading about lived actual, human lives too. They walked the sandy streets of ancient Jerusalem, stood on the shores of the Red Sea, ascended the peak of Nebo.

It’s only when we enter into the biblical world—truly attempt to understand the ancient context of Scripture—that a clear picture emerges. Doing that kind of digging can be time consuming. But even if you’re relying on the humble study Bible, that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice the depth you’ve come to expect with Logos Bible Software.

Lexham Press has teamed up with Zondervan to bring you the Faithlife Illustrated Study Bible. This print Bible brings together rich illustrations, diagrams, charts, maps, and study notes to help you piece together the context for the passage you’re studying.

There are family tree diagrams to help you understand relationships between characters in a narrative. There are detailed timelines to track the life and ministry of Jesus. There are in-depth book introductions overviewing the authorship, background, structure, themes. There are even over 100 full-color infographics that give you the kind of depth you expect from Logos, right inside a print study Bible.

And for the first time, it’s available in two of the most popular translations availalbe: the NKJV and the NIV.

Explore with Depth

In the Faithlife Illustrated Study Bible, rich commentary on every biblical passage illuminates Scripture, helping you engage with God’s Word. Discover intriguing insights in robust study notes based on the original languages of the Bible.

  • Verse-by-verse study notes with the unique focus of revealing nuances from the original biblical languages for modern readers
  • In depth book introductions that include an outline and information on authorship, background, structure, themes, and a map, a timeline, or both

Come to your own conclusions

Rather than tell you what to think, the Faithlife Illustrated Study Bible helps you learn how to think about a text and work toward deeper understanding. When tradition and scholarship present diverging views on a passage, the notes explain the interpretive options, encouraging you to reach your own conclusions.

Comments

  1. Since I purchased logos library I never had the desire to read another bible in book format because of the obvious limitations it brings.

However, I would love to see “Faithlife Bible” on my logos library and link it to my major translations, so whether I’m using my laptop or my iPad, I would have full access to it.

  2. If one has Logos 7 and the faithlife bible notes, does one have all the same material that will be in the print addition?

  3. Is this available in the ESV?

Thanks for your question, Rocky. Currently the print version will only be available in two translations: NKJV and NIV.

However the free Faithlife Study Bible mobile app can be paired with any translation. Hope this helps!
