What’s New with the New Logos Cloud?

The new Logos Cloud has arrived. We’ve hit refresh on our online Bible software, giving you some of the most powerful Bible study tools and robust theological libraries available—all at an affordable monthly price.

Here are three big changes that make starting a free trial a no-brainer.

Go deep, fast

It would be great to have unlimited hours alone to prepare that next Bible study, lesson, sermon, or paper. But the fact is, a packed schedule often means squeezing in Bible study between appointments—or in the wee hours of the morning before the kids wake up.

Logos Cloud makes it easy to dig into the meat of your study immediately. All you need is a web browser and an internet connection.

A Logos Cloud subscription gives you access to the Logos web app: an instant portal to the tools and books you need to dive deep into your Bible study. Getting started is as simple as choosing from a menu of study templates. You’ll find layouts for everything from personal devotions to sermon prep and in-depth exegesis.

Plus, we’re constantly updating the web app to include more and more tools that take you deep into the text and uncover rewarding insights.

Try it for yourself with a free trial.

Get an instant Bible study library

Having the right tools for the job is essential to doing any task well, including Bible study. That’s why we’ve updated Logos Cloud libraries to include the kind of contemporary biblical and theological resources you already rely on for your Bible study.

Each level of Logos Cloud includes an extensive Bible study library full of commentaries, Bible dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other reference works. Logos Cloud subscriptions include some of the most trusted resources in biblical studies, like the Tyndale Commentary Series, the New Daily Study Bible, the Exegetical Dictionary of the Bible, and many more.

And since it’s all accessible right in your web browser, you can take your study anywhere, without lugging around your books.

Try it free for a month

It can take time to be sure something is right for you. But if you give Logos Cloud a shot, we think you’ll discover it’s the perfect fit for your study. Don’t take our word for it; try it for yourself. Get started with a no-obligation, one-month free trial.

So I am confused. Can someone clarify how this all works? I currently own Logos 7 and I also purchased a Logos Now subscription. As I move forward with using Logos what do I do? Do I need a Logos Cloud subscription? Or does Logos 7 provide me with this? What about Logos Now? And looking down the track, is Logos moving to a total subscription model like Office365 or what will it look like? I am happy to pay for Logos as it is a great Bible study tool and Christian library, but I am confused about what options are best for my needs. Can anyone help?

    • Tyler Smith says:

Sorry for the confusion, Michael. I think I can clear it up:

    • I currently own Logos 7 and I also purchased a Logos Now subscription. As I move forward with using Logos what do I do?: As a Logos Now subscriber, you are automatically updated with our newest features for as long as you subscribe. If at any time you decide to cancel your subscription, you’ll revert back to only those features that you own. For instance, if you own Logos 7 Gold and subscribe to Now, if you cancel your Now subscription you will revert back to Logos 7 Gold. You asked, “As I move forward with musing Logos, what do I do?” That’s up to you! Your Logos Now subscription gives you access to the latest features. However, if you want to permanently OWN those features, you should consider purchasing a Logos 8 upgrade whenever it rolls around.
    • Do I need a Logos Cloud subscription? Or does Logos 7 provide me with this? What about Logos Now? The short answer is, “Based on what you’ve described you don’t need a Logos Cloud subscription.” We created Logos Cloud to provide an affordable, online, subscription-based Bible software solution. However, as a base package owner and Logos Now subscriber, you already have access to the features and books provided through a Logos Cloud subscription. And if you own the Logos 7 Starter or Full Feature sets (available in Logos 7 Bronze and above) you even have access to the Logos web app. (This is also included in a Logos Now subscription.) All this to say: you’re not a likely candidate for a Logos Cloud subscription. We developed it with primarily new customers in mind, not base package owners.
    • And looking down the track, is Logos moving to a total subscription model like Office365 or what will it look like? Obviously I can’t predict the future, but rest assured our CEO has said repeatedly that as long as our customers want base packages, we’ll provide base packages.
    • I am happy to pay for Logos as it is a great Bible study tool and Christian library, but I am confused about what options are best for my needs. Can anyone help? Glad you’re happy with Logos. I hope my answers gave you enough information. To sum it all up: I think you’re perfectly safe as is! From what you describe, there’s no reason to subscribe to Logos Cloud. Hope that help!
