BlogImage_620x325-ImageOnlyWhoever you are and however you study the Bible, our new Logos Now membership program is for you. With so many benefits, a Logos Now membership pays for itself. Not only do you get exclusive offers on scholarly resources, popular Christian titles, and seminary-level courses, you even get access to every Logos feature available. You can get started with an annual subscription for just $89.99.

When we put together the new Logos Now membership, we made sure it had something to offer every Logos user—and even people who don’t own a base package. Read on to discover how Logos Now will benefit your Bible study.

“I don’t own a base package.”

Maybe you’ve picked up a few free books on, or purchased your favorite commentaries in the Logos format, but have never taken the plunge and bought a Logos base package. If price has held you back, then we have great news: you can start using the features, and I mean all the amazing, insight-finding, time-saving, Bible-studying features of Logos right now, for just $89.99 a year.

Logos Now members get every feature of Logos 6: Psalms Explorer, Factbook, Cultural Concepts, Visual Copy, everything. That makes Logos Now the most affordable way to start using Logos 6 in your Bible study. PLUS you get a ton of other membership benefits including exclusive sales, special deals, preview resources, and more. You’ll even get new features as soon as we make them, and access to other features only available with a subscription.

“I own a previous version of Logos.”

If you’re a Logos user who’s always wanted to move to Logos 6, but never quite found an option that resonated with you, then the new Logos Now membership could be just what you’re looking for. You’ll get all the features of Logos 6, no matter which generation of Logos you own, from Libronix to Logos 5.

You’ll also get all the Logos 7 early-release features that have dropped in the last two years, and you’ll get access to exclusive features only available by subscription.

And of course, you’ll also enjoy those special savings, discounts, free previews, and other benefits that make Logos Now a membership program that pays for itself.

“I own a Logos 6 base package.”

If you’re in this group then you already know how powerful Logos can be. And if you own Logos 6 Gold or above, you’ve already got all the features; well, almost all of them. Logos 6 launched in October 2014, but our developers haven’t been idle for the past two years; they’ve been hard at work building new features and datasets to make Logos even more powerful, more streamlined, and more customizable. They’ve created new features that will help you gain more insight in less time.

When you become a Logos Now member, you can supercharge your base package with all of those new features immediately. You don’t have to wait for Logos 7. And every six weeks, we roll out even more features and datasets. In short, Logos Now transforms a static, fixed base package into a dynamic, ever-improving powerhouse for Bible study. Logos Now won’t replace the software you own; it just makes it increasingly more versatile and powerful.

Couple that with the extra benefits members enjoy, and that makes Logos Now a very sweet deal for Logos 6 base package owners, too.

“I’m already a Logos Now member.”

Well the good news is, you don’t have to do a thing! You’re automatically a member, and you can start enjoying the membership benefits right now.

“I can’t wait for Logos 7!”

With Logos Now, you don’t have to. Get early access to Logos 7 features, and on the day Logos 7 is released, you’ll be automatically updated with every single feature included in our latest release. Logos Now members will also enjoy an additional 5% off the introductory discounts on Logos 7 base packages!

I have already spent close to $3,000.00 on Logos and because I am an amateur in Bible Study and don’t need to ‘keep up with the Jones'”, what benefit would there be in spending an additional $90.00 per month.

    • Holly Marr says

Apologies for the miscommunication; a Logos Now membership is $89.99 annually, not monthly. It’s a once-yearly payment that works out to less than $8 per month. Hopefully that helps as you consider the value that membership offers! Let me know if you have any more questions.

  2. I’ve been resisting because I don’t use many of the features now and I don’t have the time to go through the training. I already have all of the base packages and loads of resources. I’m on a payment plan now and don’t plan on purchasing much else. Most of the time when something free comes along I already have it, so there’s no benefit. What will you be offering me that I can actually benefit from?

    • Holly Marr says

That’s a great question, Dale. As a manager of the blog, I’m not equipped to speak into specific, individual situations such as your own. However, our resource experts are just that—experts in helping our customers find the resources, products, and services that are just what they need. I’m certain if you call our experts, they’ll be able to help you determine what value Logos Now might pose for you and your specific situation. You can reach them Monday through Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PT. But as always, if you’re happy with what you have, then we’re happy!

      Hi, Dale.

There are a few other benefits you didn’t mention that you may like:
      * access to the Logos web app (use Logos features in an internet browser)
      * free access to over 6,000 pieces of still and motion media (great for sermon presentations or Sunday school classes)
      * discounts on Logos 7 base packages
      * a rotating selection of exclusive offers on Lexham Press, Mobile Ed, and Kirkdale Press titles

Visit for a full list of member benefits.

That being said, if you’re happy, we’re happy. No pressure to purchase or subscribe to something you don’t need!

    In your blog it says:
“I’m already a Logos Now member.”

Well the good news is, you don’t have to do a thing! You’re automatically a member, and you can start enjoying the membership benefits right now.

    “I can’t wait for Logos 7!”

With Logos Now, you don’t have to. Get early access to Logos 7 features, and on the day our latest version is released, you’ll be automatically updated. Logos Now members will also enjoy an additional 5% off the introductory discounts on Logos 7!

Question: Does this mean that on The day version 7 is released we will automatically be upgraded to version 7 free? A 5% discount indicates it’s not. So, what will be the content difference between (version 6 plus Logos now) and version 7?

    • Tyler Smith says

      Hi, Stephen.

This is an important clarification, and I’m glad you brought it up. When we say, “You’ll be automatically updated,” we only meant that you will gain access to every single feature of Logos 7 on the day it is released.

One of the benefits of a Logos Now membership is full access to every single Logos feature available. You can continue to use those features in your Bible study for as long as you’re a member. If you want to own Logos 7 features (as well as a library) you will still need to purchase a Logos base package. We offer the additional 5% discount because some users prefer to own a static set of features in addition to accessing the features available in Logos Now.

I believe that answers your question, but please let me know if I can provide further clarification.

    • Holly Marr says

That’s a great question! Logos Now members will automatically get all the features and accompanying datasets that comprise the “software” of Logos 7 on release day, absolutely free. Members will have access to all the features of 7 (plus the early release features and the subscription-only features) for as long as they are a member; if at any time a member cancels their membership, they’ll no longer have access to Logos 7’s features (or the other features and benefits of membership). However, when members are automatically updated to 7, their features will be upgraded but their library will be unchanged.

Now members will also have the option to purchase a Logos 7 base package (which will include the Logos 7 features plus a Logos 7 library), to retain access to the features if they ever choose to cancel their membership, and also to gain a fuller, more robust Logos 7 library—this is what the additional 5% would be applied toward. Totally optional, but a great option for those who want the best of both subscription and ownership (and an enhanced library), at an excellent price.

Hopefully this answers your questions, please feel free to reach out if you have any more!

I have Logos 6 diamond. I’ve been a Logos user for years and use it in the classroom where I teach NT and Greek classes at seminary.
if I subscribe to Logos NOW, does that mean when I continue my subscription, I will automatically get the Logos 7 package when it comes out–continuing my subscription will mean I would get Logos 8 when it comes out?

    Thanks for the reply

    • Tyler Smith says

      Hi, David.

I should make an important clarification. When Logos 7 is released, Logos Now members will gain access to all the features of Logos 7. A Logos Now membership does not include access to Logos 7 libraries. Also, though members gain access to those features, they do not own them. So, if you want to own new features and books, it’s still worth purchasing a Logos 7 base package. That’s why we will offer Logos Now members an extra 5% off of base packages, on top of introductory discounts.

With that understanding in place, I can answer your fundamental question: Yes, Logos 8 will work the same way.

I realize that the phrasing in this blog post is a bit ambiguous on this point. I’ll update it accordingly.

Please let me know if I can provide further clarification.

    • Holly Marr says

Great question. Current Logos Now members get all the features of 6 plus the Logos 7 early-release features and subscription-only features. On launch day, Logos Now members will automatically be upgraded to all the Logos 7 features, the new Logos 7 subscription-only features, and as they’re released (typically every six weeks), the Logos 8 early-release features. Barring unforeseen internal changes, I see no reason why Logos Now members wouldn’t also be upgraded to 8 when that version releases, but that won’t be for quite some time, and I can’t make any hard-and-fast guarantees. You’re welcome to pose this question to the forums or directly to Bob or Phil. They may be able to give a more firm answer.

I also want to clarify that Now members’ software will be upgraded automatically to Logos 7 when the version launches, but their libraries will remain unchanged. The automatic upgrade to 7’s features will be functionally different than if a member (or non-member) purchases a Logos 7 base package. Hopefully that makes sense, please let me know if you have any more questions!

      • Two things:
First, after Logos 7 launches and we’re past the initial release of engine+library resource packages, will the basic L.7 engine be freely available, as previously?
Second, what do you mean by “functionally different”? Won’t the basic engine in L.7 be the same, whether we download the engine on its own, or buy it with additional resources?
        Thanks for clarifying!

        • Holly Marr says

          First question: I believe that’s the plan for early 2017, but I can’t make any promises; I’m not a decision-maker, just a messenger :)

Second question: There are basically three ways to get the Logos 7 full feature set:
          1. As part of a Logos 7 base package (static)
          2. Purchased separately (static)
          3. As part of a Logos Now membership (dynamic, enhanced); you’ll also get the early-release features as they’re shipped and the subscription-only features, starting today!
So while the software would still function the same regardless of the means of access (apologies for the confusing turn of phrase!), you get more features and a dynamic, enhanced Logos 7 full feature set when you become a Logos Now member. Hopefully that helps clarify!

  5. David Shackelford says

    Thanks. That helps.

Another question: we require Logos at the seminary with our bulk orders, so we get 50% discount off the base packages and academic pricing on most other resources. Would I get an additional 5% off the base package if I subscribe to Logos Now?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

    • Tyler Smith says

Great question. All Logos Now discounts are in addition to whatever academic discounts you enjoy. So, yes. :-)

  6. Quick question, so why would you buy a base package if you have the Logos Now? What’s the benefit if you get all the software with Now?

    • Tyler Smith says

      Excellent question, Mychael.

If we’re just considering the Logos features (and not the other benefits of Logos Now) here’s the answer:

It all comes down to whether or not ownership is important to you. When you purchase a base package, you own a static set of features. They’re yours to keep forever. If owning your features is important to you, consider a base package. Then with your Logos Now membership, you’ll gain access to more and more features as soon as we create them.

There’s another reason to purchase a base package: books. A Logos Now membership does not include access to Logos 7 libraries, so purchasing a Logos 7 base package is a great way to grow your library.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help.

  7. David Shackelford says

how do I unsubscribe from these posts?

    • Holly Marr says

I believe you are now unsubscribed; please let me know if you continue to receive notifications and I’ll look into the issue further. Thank you!

  8. Is there any academic discount for Logos Now Membership?

    • Tyler Smith says

      Hi, Josh.

We don’t currently offer an academic discount for a Logos Now membership. However, discounts included as part of a Logos Now membership are on top of any discounts you may have as part of Logos’ academic program.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
