John and Lisa Bevere are the founders of Messenger International, an organization established to help individuals, families, churches, and nations realize and experience the transforming power of God’s Word. A minister and best-selling author, John delivers messages of uncompromising truth with boldness and passion. In his latest book, Good or God, he invites readers to engage with God on a new level:

These days the terms good and God seem synonymous. We believe what’s generally accepted as good must be in line with God’s will. Generosity, humility, justice―good. Selfishness, arrogance, cruelty―evil. The distinction seems pretty straightforward. But is that all there is to it? If good is so obvious, why does the Bible say that we need discernment to recognize it? Good or God? isn’t another self-help message. This book will do more than ask you to change your behavior. It will empower you to engage with God on a level that will change every aspect of your life.

From August 2–January 22, John and Lisa are on tour spreading this message across the country. Check out their tour stops today!

To commemorate John Bevere’s new book and tour, we’re giving away an iPad mini, Logos 6 Gold, and five of John’s books, including:

  1. I don’t do tweet, twitter, or Facebook. I only have e-mail. Can I enter the Contest with e-mail only? Ric

  2. Because often evil is wrapped in churchy sounding false teaching

  3. Excellent resource

  4. Hello

  5. I don't necessarily think that good and evil are obviously discernible as evil deceives.

  6. Evil itself cannot exist apart from what God has called good and it is the corruption of that.

  7. Sure want that Logos 6 Gold.

  8. Logos has been highly recommended.

  9. I love Logos

  10. The fact is that evil is difficult to discern as it is in a very grey context and requires utmost attention and study of the scriptures to root out.

  11. Because sometimes people think that they are doing "good" but in reality is evil.

  12. thanks for the chance to win logos 6

  13. The difference is not obvious. It has been obscured by the evil hearts of men.

  14. I don't think the difference is obvious in all cases. There have been a few times I've had that "Get behind me, Satan" moment, but they have been unexpected and surprised me. The Bible shows us that Satan can use anyone and anything, even someone who thinks they are righteous but really are not (the Pharisees, for example.) Discernment is how we know when we are truly staying on God's path and when we are on a bunny trail.

  15. I don't think the difference is obvious in all cases. There have been a few times I've had that "Get behind me, Satan" moment, but they have been unexpected and surprised me. The Bible shows us that Satan can use anyone and anything, even someone who thinks they are righteous but really are not (the Pharisees, for example.) 16. I am among those who would love to win the ipad mini and the logos. I think my wife would love having her own to use!

  17. would love to win.

  18. Can't say no to ipad mini and logos!

  19. The difference between good and evil is not obvious. Hebrews says that only those that eat meat can do that, it's a result of spiritual maturity.

  20. Many times the difference between good and evil is hard to see because we have, without even realizing it, allowed our standards and beliefs to be set by our society and those around us. His standard is not our standard many times and because of this it distorts and compromises our sense of good and evil. His ways are not our ways and in order to fully walk in the things of God, determining what is good versus what is evil requires us as children of God to not only have an idea of who He is and what He has called us to, but to know from first hand experience, to be an eyewitness, of His glory and goodness. Many have formed God in their own image and because of this what we accept as good or evil is dictated by us or by society rather than by God Himself.

  21. While in many cases the difference may be obvious, this is not always the case. Especially since we fight against our own sin nature, which draws us into evil by telling us that it is good. This is why Scripture warns us against following our own opinions and feelings exclusively – "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death" – Proverbs 14:12. We need discernment to know the truth according to God and not according to our own feelings.

  22. I have enjoyed John Bevere's books and dvd series on authority

  23. John and Lisa Bevere are such blessings to the family of God. May He continue to bless their ministry and expand their influence!

  24. A childhood friend of mine had a post of John on her Facebook page. I was incredibly intreged and followed the links to your website. I look forwad to reading your insights.

  25. Joshua Umbriaco says:

2 Corinthians 11:14 is one reason why

  26. Love it ..May God Bless you all and give you all new blessings

  27. Because mankind is naturally evil we sometimes choose to do things to satisfy our flesh and lusts naturally. If a person falls into sin then they may know that lying is wrong, however because they are living in habitual sin away from God, they may begin to naturally sin, such as tell a lie, without even thinking about it. Thus, they know lying is wrong, but they still do it. Thus they may need it to be pointed out in their lives.

  28. Because we must always rely on God's wisdom, not our own, to truly understand what is good and evil.

  29. A thankful heart is a happy heart. :)

  30. Nothing much better to my knowledge can match Logos Bible Software.

  31. Best Bible software!

  32. The difference between good and evil isn't obvious to the human heart because "The heart is decietful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it." (Jeremiah 17:9) Because of this we need the "discerner of hearts" to guide us into a true knowledge of what is good and evil. But man has been striving to make sense of good and evil on his own since the Garden of Eden and failed in the process. Leaning on God's wisdom is our only hope.

  33. because it isn't obvious. In one instance, what may be good is evil in another. This is why discernment is necessary, because the ethics of the situation may change based on the situation.

  34. Deborah Sutton says:

Been wanting to hear this question addressed for years. Glad your tour is coming to our area and looking forward to your new book. God bless you and your ministry.

  35. Excellent resources here!

  36. To those deluded and taken captive by the lies of the world, which according to Dr. Del Tackett is about 91% of Christians, the difference is not so obvious.

  37. One element here is the role of deception that is used by the evil one. There are various places this comes across, but it is especially seen in the Book of Revelation where deception is the primary weapon (along with death) that is used by the Dragon and the two Beasts. Although we can see the difference between good and evil, the unholy anti-trinity is always trying to deceive and keep us from fully realizing those distinctions…

  38. The difference between good and evil is not always obvious which is why we need discernment.

  39. Logos 6 Gold. Nice. Someone's going to receive an amazing prize! I wonder if this competition is open to international users of Logos Bible Software?

  40. The difference between good and evil is not always obvious for us – it is always obvious before God's eyes though. I believe it is not alwyas obvious for us because we are influenced by our own preferences and pride coming from our sinful nature in many ways. This is why we need discernement and this discernment comes only from the One who always discerns between good and evil – God Himself. Through His Holy Spirit, He gives and develops this discernment in him who continually humbles himself, repents and admits his total dependence on His grace for each new day, for each new moment.

  41. Sometimes evil disguises itself under the guise of good intentions. We need discernment to help distinguish if there might be consequences if certain a actions are taken.

  42. .

  43. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path

  44. Thank you for the chance to win.

  45. Great resource! I am using Logos for over 7 years and it has been vital for my sermon preparation! Recommended to anyone!

  46. Richard says:

The difference between good and evil is not always glaringly obvious. The devil works to blur the line between the two. That is why we need spiritual discernment from God.

  47. the difference is not rooted in a list of thou shalt or shalt nots. When the Psalmist declared , “Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against you” he is touching on the reality of where that discernment is rooted…exposure to the Word of God. The Holy Spirit utilizes the Word as our teaching agent, whereby we learn more of His will and sanctifying power in our lives.

  48. Gold…can you even imagine!?!

  49. Chris Ox says:

  50. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free(John Chapter 8vs32)

  51. Satan is that beautiful lie. The lie that grips you and drags you down. One needs the Holy Spirit for discernment through the cunning tricks of the enemy.

  52. David Blecher says:

Nice prizes! Which model iPad is this?

  53. Because we and other men are sinful!

  54. Glory to God Alone

  55. The difference between good and evil is not always obvious. The unregenerate calls good evil and evil good, not knowing the difference. To truly do good, one must act in conformity with God's perfect law. In that sense, no human can ever be good (because humans are totally depraved). Jesus himself told the rich young man in Matthew 19 that there is no good person but God. Thus, while "good" and "God" differ in definition and purpose, no one can be good (righteous) apart from exchanging his own sinfulness for Christ's righteousness as part of the exchange of salvation.

  56. I don’t agree with the premise that good and evil are always and obviously easy to discern. People, for example, have potential for both and are always, in fact, a mixture of the two.

  57. Today evil is often disguised as tolerance and loving one's neighbor. The admonition not to judge others is misapplied so that sinful behavior is not only tolerated but often applauded.

  58. I believe that (just like the word Love), our culture has shaped the word good to mean whatever feels "right" for that generation, for that people group, and because of that we are deceived to believing what we feel is good is God, rather than understanding that God is the only one who can truly define "good". We must return to the source of truth and seek the only one who can really define good.

  59. We often fail to recognize what is good because our thinking has been so completely corrupted by the Fall. Theologians refer to it as the notice effects of the Fall.

  60. Betty Sievert says:

    THANK YOU FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.

  61. Great competition! So want to win this! I need a new ipad, mine is dying.

  62. Autocorrect- Notice = noetic

  63. The difference between good and evil is not always obvious for us-because we can be easily tricked by the devil.Grace & Truth came through Jesus Christ. We need to wait on Grace, the leading of The Holy Spirit & The Word of God & total surrender & obedience to God.Only then can we glimpse the difference.

  64. Because we are fallen beings.

  65. The heart is wicked and deceitful and beyond cure. With out the life giving power of the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and soften our hearts, all are prone to please the flesh. We need the discernment that only come from God to separate in our hearts what is good and evil.

  66. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

  67. 2 Corinthians 11:14

  68. If the difference between good and evil is obvious, why do we need discernment to recognize it? Because it is not so obvious to a mind that is corrupted by sin. That is why we need the Scriptures to guide us and to convict us. It is living, active, cutting into our hearts to trim out the fat.

  69. Because the line can be blurry at times :(

  70. The difference between good and evil isn’t always obvious. Satan does whatever he can to cause people to sin. He makes sin look appealing and good, and it’s not until you’ve either gotten close enough to smell the rot or put on a discerning lens that comes from having a personal relationship with Jesus and knowing the Bible that you realize how evil that sinful situation is.

  71. Because we are sinners at heart

  72. love it

  73. RChotkowski says:

Evil will cloak itself in light to deceive.
The best way to discern the difference?
Evil is not completely supported by scripture.

  74. The motives of our heart are always validated by God's Spirit and His Word…whether our "good" is of "God" or not.

  75. we need discernment because everyone’s definition of good and evil differ

  76. Logos is awesome.

  77. The difference between good and evil is not always obvious. However, when it is obvious, it should be attributed to seeing the situation through the Holy Spirit.

  78. Because we need our minds to be renewed

  79. "The heart is decietful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it." -Jeremiah 17:9

  80. Earnest says:

The difference between good and evil is not always obvious, hence the need for discernment in general. Also, man is fallen, and inclined toward evil naturally, so spiritual discernment is needed to see evil.

  81. If the difference between good and evil is obvious, why do we need discernment to recognize it?

  82. I believe that the world believes everything is good in this world and we don't need a God we just need each other. They believe God is just something that Christians talk about, and they sure don't believe in Jesus.

  83. The Father of Lies has been given temporary reign over this world by the Creator of us ALL. We are the true children of the Father and have been given the tools to use to learn and listen to GODs wise council and a mature discernment. Through the application of Scripture we are taught to pray and ask for GODS guidance in all things recognizing that what is often the easiest and most beautiful course of action or temptation is often a mans road to also self deceit to causes us to stumble. What does become obvious however is when we do use GODS gifts for discernment and we have done so wisely with prayer. Our peace and understanding is surpassing all and achieves mastery with grace.

  84. The world’s message is diametrically opposed to God’s and Satan loses no opportunity to fill out mind and attempt to condition us to his way of thinking. That’s why everything we hear and see should be filtered through God’s word.

  85. I really enjoy using the faith life study app!

  86. Logos is the best!

  87. John bevere's study material is great!

  88. Romans

  89. Though we were created perfectly, sin has distorted and corrupted us to the very core of who we are. Though the Holy Spirit makes us new, the old nature is still there which leaves is in a dangerous position to accurately discern good and evil.

  90. This would make a wonderful addition to my library!

  91. Isaiah 5:20
    Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
    Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

God has placed a soul with conciousness into every human… The law is "written on every heart"… Will Christ bare the guilt or will the person bare the guilt and try to rid it by some futile means? Only Christ can eradicate sin and the guilt associated with it.

  92. Most people who don't read the Bible will naturally have a lop-sided view of God…for them its hard to reconcile a good God with what they see and here in the world. They don't have a biblical category for bad and if they do they cannot define it well enough for it to satisfy anyones demands. The finger always fly back at God instead of at themselves. Some of those categories which help are, The Fall, The Devil, Sin…to exclude these leads to confusion when it comes to a good God, and a bad world.

  93. I am praying now for a safe tour where the Holy Spirit guides protects and allows those who need His message to be received with a glad heart.

  94. sally gearhart says:

I would have to agree with John Joy. The difference between good & evil is not always obvious to us! I have only just begun with my Christian walk but I believe with spiritual maturity the small differences will be recognized faster.

  95. Logos is a great resource center, I want to win this too!!. May God bless Logos

  96. Great giveaway

  97. Great giveaway

  98. Satan is said in Scripture to disguise himself as a messenger of light. He often disguises evil in the form or appearance of good. Deception is his middle name.

  99. The difference is not always obvious. Sometimes we do good things for the wrong reason and can constitute wrong, if our motives are wrong.

  100. This "world" view is also very much related to the ineffectivity of the "church" in a lost and dying world. The shame is that the "church" has bought into this lie to varying degrees also; the gospel has been watered down, and the people see a church that shows little or no differences (in some cases) to their "world".

  101. Yes, please! :)

  102. Our eyes are fixed on the Lord, pleading, pleading for his mercy.

  103. Thanks for the giveaway!

  104. Love Logos!

  105. Matthew 16:6 And Jesus said to them, “Watch out and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” – The leaven comes to us in the forms of both legalism and licentiousness – with both being unbelief. We must equip ourselves with lenses to see each accurately and subsequently live by Grace.

  106. LOGOS HAS GREAT PRODUCTS!

  107. Satan often disguises himself as an angel of light. Being an angel, his superior intelligence is put to use in deception, to which our finite and fallen minds are prone to mistake for truth.

  108. Roger Powers says:

I don’t do tweet, twitter, or Facebook either. I only have e-mail. Can I enter the Contest with e-mail only?

  109. Appreciate the contest.

  110. I hesitate to say "This sounds good" – but I agree that we often use God precisely as Nietsche said: We project our definitions of "good" onto a heavenly screen at infinite magnification, and call that God.

  111. Their is a hunger inside of me to understand the mystery of God's Word to a greater level! It is of extreme important that my Faith, Trust and God Pure Love Overshadow Every Areas of My Life.

  112. Thanks for alerting me to this offer

  113. But the difference between Good and Evil is not obvious – much of the tradition of philosopphy regards pleasure as good, and so pleasure has become a human right and goal of our life – and yet is a life lived in pleasuring oneself really good? Discernment is not easy!

  114. But the difference between Good and Evil is not obvious – much of the tradition of philosopphy regards pleasure as good, and so pleasure has become a human right and goal of our life – and yet is a life lived in pleasuring oneself really good? Discernment is not easy!

  115. God is not looking for great men but men who has the courage to witness His greatness

  116. God is not looking for great men but men who has the courage to witness His greatness

  117. Melissa Jones says:

I don’t think that the difference between good and evil _is_ obvious much of the time. Satan is called an “Angel of Light” for a reason – he couldn’t get us to sin as much as he does if we realized it was sin from the get go.

  118. Mary Okafor says:

please can I get the 5 books, even if I do not win. I’m from Nigeria, Mr. John Bevere, how can I pay to have these books. I will love to have and to read them. will love to hear from you please. thanks. Mary Okafor

  119. I used the Logos Bible Software in writing the Walking With Jesus Bible Study Series.

    Great software.

  120. Appreciate notifying me of this offer

  121. The difference between Good and God is one letter. It's the difference between belief and conviction

  122. D Greenfield says:

With an objective standard the difference between good and evil becomes obvious. However, without an objective standard we are left with a multitude of subjective standards (even if proponents of any one standard declare them objective). Only discernment provided by the originator of a true objective standard lets us make a true determination between true good and true evil.

  123. Whenever God is ready to begin something new with his people, he always sets them to praying!

  124. All talk about evil….. needs to include St Augustine :D

  125. The difference between good and evil is obedience. You are either following the leading of the Spirit or something else, which is evil. The evil choices do not always end up "bad" necessarily but in a relationship with a living God, disobedience is damaging. It is import to discern between the two, at least one reason, because we, as flawed human beings who can make an idol out of anything, need to learn discipline and understand that our Lord has our good and His glory in mind. In a lost world with very little concerning eternal things, God's glory is the most important focus for us.

  127. Good is right and evil is wrong. So simple

  128. We can be blinded by it.

  129. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but God's word shall not-nor even change one dot or tittle.watch out to those that believe or insist otherwise.contemplate on how eternal punishment will affect you. Jesus is the only way to eternal life.

  130. Nicholas Burner says:

2 Corinthians 4 says that the god of this world has blinded the eyes of unbelievers to keep them from seeing Christ (who reveals the Father). If 1 Corinthians 1:30 is true, then Christ is for us God’s wisdom. So then, we can’t discern with any real wisdom unless God has shown into our hearts (the Holy Spirit’s work of illuminating and glorifying Christ) to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Even as those who have received the gospel by faith, indwelling sin darkens our eyes. Only Christ can open our eyes by renewing our minds – a process accomplished by the illumination of God’s Word.

  131. The secular world is full of lies and deceit as it is under the influence of Satan, and discernment from God's word is crucial to tell the difference.

  132. You need it to be able to identify quickly and cast it away….You need discernment to be able to disguish between the voice of the world from the vioce of God. It fends off temptation and allows us to hate what is evil and cling to what is good

  133. God bless you and greeting from my family from Kampala Uganda
Please how can i get i Pad?
    give me deetails
    Thank you
    Tundulu Stephen A

  134. Is it a question of recognition, or more a question of how we react to the good and evil we know exist?

  135. Spencer says:

May sound too simple, but I think it’s because we’re human. Doesn’t matter how obvious ANYTHING is… we will find a way to screw it up. It’s in our DNA.

  136. John Lim says:

We have a tendency today to call evil good and good evil in the 21st century secular upside down version of morality in the world where God is not acknowledged.

  137. Aaron Moma says:

Thanks for putting on this contest!

  138. mark Schama says:

Look forward to learning more about Logos software.

  139. Linda Carpenter says:

A very good selection of books!

  140. Idolatry! While we live in a modern world, we have failed to see that we have also modernized our idols. No longer are they wood, now they are plastic typically with sixteen numbers on them. No longer are they carved, now they are injection molded and take center stage in our homes. No longer do we bow to them on our schedule, now we are managed by them, the 24 hour sale, the three day sale, the big game, you name it we have taken what we have created for our pleasure and it has come alive in our hearts and controls our every endeavor. Our idols are many and have pushed Christ from centrality in our lives, in our country.
We need to wake up! We are the Church! The very thing which Christ Jesus said that the “gates of hell” could not prevail, while we confess that to be true, are we guilty as Christ said, “you confess Me with you lips, yet deny Me by the way in which you live your life.”
It is time for the church to tare down the stongholds, to smash the our golden calves, to burn up the wood of our idolatry, it is time to repent and turn to Him for times of renewal.

  141. Angus Weller says:

“And Jesus said unto him, ‘Why do you cal me good? No one is good except God alone’.” Mark 10:18 ESV
We are called to be good – even though we will never fully fulfil that, but through God’s good grace we might hear those words “well done, thou good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make the ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of the lord.” Matthew 25:31 KJV
    God Bless

  142. I have used Logos for years and not only like this program, I will recommend it every chance I get. I found out about Vyrso a year ago and it is my favorite way to purchase books.

  143. If we always knew the difference between good and evil, life would be much easier. At that point, would we even need our faith? We need our faith and our love of Christ to lead us toward the good and away from the evil.

  144. A Carter says:

Sometimes evil can be disguised to look like something good to a mind that has never been exposed to much of the truth of good, therefore discernment has to be foremost. It must be taught to give those unexploded the power to recognize and overcome the evil that lies in wait.

  145. David Vance says:

The difference isn’t obvious at all because evil comes in the cloak of good, and wolves dressed as sheep:

“Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness” (2 Cor 11:14-15 [NKJ])

  146. Lori Bahn says:

People think that they are doing “GOOD” but in reality is it’s not!

  147. Perfect timing for this book in the times we are in! Thank you so much!

  148. Because we are constantly being deceived by Satan. We need the power of the Holy Spirit to help us discern what is true and holy and to fight the spiritual battle for our souls!

  149. Brandon says:

Love Logos software and use it every week

  150. The difference between good and evil is obvious only WITH godly discernment.

  151. Jeremiah says:

    Romans 7.15
Even though what is good and evil is quite obvious, we have an innate desire to wallow in what is evil and the gift of discernment gives us the opportunity to overcome this desire through the intervention of the holy spirit in our lives.

  152. Pam in Missouri says:

Fascinating topic. I am eager to read more about “good” and God. This is one way in which I struggle to witness to people who are good, decent but non-believing folk.

  153. Logos has been an invaluable resource as a pastor.

  154. Henk ten Voorde says:

    I like Logos.

  155. Marlene Croukamp says:

Firstly, I don’t believe it’s obvious, which already makes discernement that much more difficult. (Hey! I’m only human here ;-) )
BUT – to help our discernemnt, it helps to think of this, which was told to me by a child – “Your parent sknow that playing with scissors can be dangerous – you can get hurt. They don’t want to scare you, or waste time, so they simply tell you not to do so. It’s the same with God. As our Almighty Parent, He knows what is good for our own wellbeing, and tells us so. Best we listen!” I paraphrase, but that was the gist of it. Discernement is difficult, but if we keep out eyes wide open, and the innocence of a child, we will enhance our undestanding.

  156. Ron Brennan says:

We must remember Adam and Eve fail from a perfect state, we must rely on God’s understanding, for even in a perfect world, Adam and Eve when satan drew near and lied, they took and they ate of that unknown fruit the only one they were not to eat.

If none of us had consciences that were broken we should all see evil for what it is. The fact is because we all have broken consciences we have to rely on the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit. We must always rely on God’s understanding.

Only in doing this are we are able to help each other, taking God at His word at every word and in context, for every deviation from what God has truly said is an open door for the devil.

Reject any thing God has said and you have left the welcome mat out for satan.
So to be strong we have to be in God’s word, and believe it and act on it.

  157. Interested in the Gold package.

  158. I could really use the software to help me study better for my teaching and preaching engaugements.

  159. Fantastic opportunity to win these resources…and a nice ipad!

  160. Without understanding, that which is evil can slide in with a disguise and appear good.

  161. Julia Casey says:

I need to discern between good and evil but also need to discern between good and God’s best.

  162. Jessica Nicholas says:

    I don’t think it’s always obvious

  163. Would love to win the iPad to use for our homeschooling.

  164. William Don says:

Because we are imperfect and what may seem good to us may indeed be bad. The difference between good and evil is not obvious unless you are God. The premise of the question is false.

  165. Chris Bailey says:

I’d like to win Logos 6 Gold!

  166. We need discernment because Good is not defined by logical rules, or a volume of laws, but rather by the will of God for an individual at each moment in time. Good is specific and personal. It also is spiritual – rooted in the thoughts and intentions of the heart

  167. i don’t think the difference between good and evil are always obvious, which is why we need discernment

  168. In regards to the discussion on discerning good and evil, yes, it can be very difficult to see the difference. In 2 Corinthians 11 Paul discusses this issue a bit. In verses 14 & 15 he shows how difficult it can be to tell the difference.

” And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.”

Of course, the best way to learn how to discern good and evil is to continue studying the Bible. (Acts 17:10-12)

  176. Thomas Warmuth says:

We need discernment to differentiate between what is true and what is almost true, or “truthy.” False teachers do not come out and announce themselves as false teachers. Some are charlatans who simply use the gospel as a means to advance their own interests, while others are well-meaning but deceived. Many fall somewhere in between – they have been confronted with the false nature of their teaching and called to repent, yet they persist anyway. Often, there is truth in what a false teacher promotes, with the lie carefully woven into the truth. We need to recognize this, and when we see someone weaving lies into their teaching, don’t try to unravel the truth from the lies. Walk away from this false teacher and do not associate with him any longer.

  177. Judy Cooper says:

In this world good is often thought of as evil and evil good. Because of this it is so important to read and study God’s word so that we can discern what is truly good and how to avoid evil.

  178. bill brown says:

We need discernment because the world is trying to blind us and get us to goo along with the crowd. Soloman asked for WISDOM from God. Wisdom is the RIGHT use of knowledge. All of the knowledge in the world is useless if it is used in the wrong way.

  179. Blessings,

  180. Mya Murphy says:

I believe good and bad are totally different, and upon doing something bad, it SHOULD make you feel awful whether Christian or not.

  181. Teresa Organ says:

I don’t think it is always obvious. Sometimes evil can look good. We need to pray for wisdom to know the difference.
