Challenge yourself

Paul loved the church in Corinth, but with that love came accountability.

With Bible Study Magazine, you’ll gain new insights and understanding as your read through Paul’s letters to the Corinthian church. Each article investigates a passage or idea in 1 and 2 Corinthians, giving you a deeper understanding of the issues Paul addressed. You will be challenged to live “upside down” in a world that has it all wrong.

Be inspired

Follow Philip Yancey’s personal story in “A Journey of Grace” that ultimately points back to Christ’s love.

Yancey’s story takes on a fascinating twist: he grew up in a church that felt safe and secure, but as he grew older, he noticed problems that stemmed from certain teachings within the church. He began to feel unsure of his faith. Read his story as he embarks on an investigation of who Jesus is by seeking answers and truth found in the Word. Through his quest, Yancey was inspired by Jesus’ love, grace, and mercy.

The Bible corrected what I had picked up in that unsafe church. As I began to study Jesus, I realized that he didn’t have that insular approach at all. He was accused of hanging around sinners all the time. It seems like the least likely people were most attracted to Jesus, but the uptight religious people were threatened by him.

—Philip Yancey

See God at work

Pastor and academic David Kasali sees God’s work in the Congo, and it gives him incredible hope.

Kasali initially longed to forge a path of financial success in his life, but soon realized he had been running from his true calling. He left his business job and started working as a chaplain. Now, he’s mobilizing Congolese Christians to transform their communities through the Congo Initiative. He’s eager for God to transform churches and communities in Congo. He quotes Isaiah 43:18:

‘Forget about the former things. I’m doing a new thing and don’t you perceive it?’ God can rewrite our stories and histories, and then we can be a part of the new thing God is doing.

  1. Could you offer a digital only version of BSM? I’d like to get it but don’t need a print edition.

  2. Paul Gisbourne says:

I echo the call for a digital copy, offered through logos – auto download with subscription, as the shipping costs to the UK make it impractical…

  3. I'm with Dave. I understand you are planning to offer digital at some point. May it be soon!
