  1. Hey guys… getting it shipped to me will cost as much as the *manuals themselves*… is that really necessary?! I really see no reason to order them in that case, ya know? Can't you just throw them in basic mail to me?

  3. Daniel Lange says:

True, I decided against buying them after seeing the $13 shipping cost. That puts it back up to about $50. Advertising free shipping would've been about the same. I would purchase these for $35 if shipping were included.

  4. I live in Singapore, shipping will cost me an arm and a leg. Make it as a download would be great!

  5. Can we have it as a download or as part of Logos? Thanks.

  6. I have the training manuals and I have learned a lot from them. They are very well done. I would also rather have had them entered as a book in my library than as a hard copy. But they are good. Also, they need to be updated to include personal book section in them.

  7. Deacon Freddy says:

Yes, make them a download – that way we can print what ever we need to. I don’t know about making it part of Logos. I bought Practicum to train with and I wish it were separate from Logos.

  8. Clive N Stephenson says:

Why not just make it available in electronic format to work with the software?

  9. Michael Carr says:

I agree the cost of shipping is prohibitive — particularly to Canada. Is there any cheaper mailing options (I don’t mind waiting a week or two)? Is there no way you download the volumes in a pdf format?

  10. Pastor Dong says:

Shipping is big issue, is there any possibility to make it downloadable?

  11. I spent 1500 dollars on software….at least give me a free manual to teach me how to use it.

  12. Jim MacInnes says:

Was going to order this but as the other said, the cost of shipping was really high, especially when one orders as much as I do on ling and seldom see such costs anymore. Would not mind slower mail, and lower costs but this was high.

  13. bart marnitz says:

I agree with the previous post. To spend this kind of money for software (which is excellent!) and then to be asked to buy what amounts to an instruction manual is ridiculous. Are they trying to say they wrote a bad help file so they can sell a better one?

  14. I recommend these manuals as a "must have" accessory for Logos 5! If you already know how to utilize Logos 5 for everything it is worth, then you don't need to manuals. However, the way I see it, it makes no sense to whine about spending $50 for manuals so you can get the most out of software that you may have paid a few thousand $ for.

  15. These manuals are not produced by Logos. They were produced by Morris Proctor, he may not want to give his work away for free. I have attended the Camp Logos Training (about $200, plus travel and lodging). Everything and more from the training is in the manuals. $35 is a bargin with you consider the real cost of attending the workshop.

  16. Barry Kurst says:

well I just ordered it,even though the postage cost is actually more than the manuals. The way I see it, I payed over 6 grand for logos 5, I want to be sure that I maximise my usage of it otherwise I could have just got myself a membership at a theological library and saved me the money in the first place :)

  17. Carmen, is that for shipping to Canada. What is the cost if you pickup in the states. Dan has a US mailbox.

  18. OK – let me tell you – next to the DVD presentations by Morris Proctor the books don't even come close – As a matter of fact I would be willing to sell my books to you as used for cheaper. Yes, the Dvd's are spendy but I invested this much into my software. I would suggest you save up and get the Camp Logos 2 DVD set ($225) and I would send you all three books Syllabus 1 & 2 plus What's new in vs 5 for $40 plus shipping – the DVD's rock – I am telling you – they are worth it!

  19. Downloading the books would be tough because MP Seminars actually creates the books and Logos format may not work unless it came as a pdf file – Video would be massive memory – Almost 20 hours of video!! –

  20. Graham Bennett says:

It seems crazy to me that a manual for what is a top of the range e-book reader is not available in electronic format. I don’t want it in Logos format. Pdf would be just fine. I have the printed Logos 4 manuals which are excellent but had those posted to my son in the USA and picked them up the last time I was over there. A download would be much more convenient. No problems with the price of the manuals themselves, just the overseas postage. Morris Proctor deserves every penny he gets for his clear and informative explanations which must take a lot of time to produce.

  21. OK…so now I am just a little concerned…after having been very pleased with my Logos 5 purchase earlier this year…I spent $99.00 on a pre-publication Logos Essentials (regular price was $149) thinking I was getting a good deal…so I could learn how to more effectively use the program…and now I read I could have spent only $34.95 for the actual training videos. I may have presumed too much.

  22. I’ll have to pass on this although I could use it. Like others have mentioned, the shipping itself brings it up to around $50. Might as well be the full price. Besides, something like this should have been a part of the package, not something you should have to buy separately. Oh well, guess I’ll stick to muddling around with the over-complicated software package, figuring out how to use it efficiently by scrounging around in the help files and wiki.

  23. Are you saying that you are selling your DVD (and including the books) for $40 plus shipping?

  24. Billy Brand No, the three books – I think they're on sale for 14.95 each right now – I was saying if you really want the books I do not use them because the DVD's far outweigh the books – not that they're bad but I understand finances – so I would sell these books Camp Logos Syllabus 1 & 2 plus "What's new in vs 5" ( for $40 or give me a fair offer)

  25. I just wanted to chime in – the shipping price is ridiculous and why in the world you are pushing printed books when you have such a great e-print platform confuses me. I do agree that it really should be part of the “help” section rather than a separate set of helps.

  26. Shipping is too much. Make them e-books or videos. I opted for http://www.learnlogos.com training videos. He has a ton of videos and webinars at a pretty reasonably price. Customer service is second to none. Nothing like "seeing" how to navigate around the Logos app. Check it out.

  27. Karen Connor Coker says:

I took the Logos 4 Training Camp from Morris Proctor and then got all the manuals and slick guides, I I I I didn't learn very much. Then I discovered John Fallahee's http://www.learlogos.com. You get all the videos for like 50 bucks, lots of free webinars, lots of topic specific training for $ 4.99 a video. He makes his manuals into Logos documents! I would not get these PAPER manuals if you have to pay shipping (unbelievable!)..

  30. Deborah Perry says:

Go to this website: http://www.learnlogos.com John Fallahee’s webinars and training for Logos is excellent and a much, much better value. Yes, Morris Proctor is a good trainer and well known, but John Fallahee is excellent too!

  31. Wondering why they do not come with the programs. Some pastors do not have the money for the upgrades and manuals. Instructions should come free with the program.

  32. Seems like Logos is just a money grab at every turn. What other programs come *without* the manuals to help? None that I can think of.
