Why NAMB Is Equipping Church Planters with Logos and Proclaim

namb-send-network-logos-350x200Church planters need a library that’s deep enough for preparing sermons, yet compact enough to bring with them wherever they go.

While their church is new and growing, many planters are holding service in temporary spaces, so they just don’t have the shelf space for hundreds of books. They’re also facing a wide variety of commitments on a tight schedule. They need more than just a library—they need a research assistant.

“Church planters are some of the most amazing people I know. With full schedules and modest finances, dedicating resources and shelf-space to a library of books and commentaries is hard for many to do.” —Aaron Linne, Logos’ director of church products

That’s why the North American Mission Board (NAMB) is giving each of its church planters a Logos 5 Silver base package and a six-month license to Proclaim. They’re giving all these pastors the best tools and resources to disciple their churches.

“This will be a great step in helping our church planters go deeper as they explore Scripture for their own spiritual growth and as they lead members of their congregations to grow deeper in their faith.” —Micah Millican, NAMB’s director of church planter relations

  1. Just upgraded this week to a package i can not afford as a church planter. NAMB has been such an encouragement in so many ways to me and my family over the past 2+ years. I would not have been able to plant and sustain a work in the Northeast without so many people investing, helping and praying for our work. Once again thank you NAMB and logos which has the kindest most helpful staff when it comes to dealing with computer issues. I had a woman help me with a glitch over a 3 day period some time ago and never once did she raise her tone to me. I am very limited in my computer skills and she was gracious every step of the way. I could not say thank you enough!!!!! http://www.redemptionfallriver.com

  2. To NAMB and to LOGOS: Thank you for the "research assistant". It is such a blessing to be a part of the Send Network. Being "tethered" together through prayer and resource support strengthens my heart as a church planter and empowers my church to make disciples and plant more churches! I agree with Tom… "I could not say thank you enough!"

  3. Wow! What a mother load of resources for sermon preparation, Bible study and personal development. Thanks to NAMB and Logos for making this available to church planters.

  4. As a Southern Baptist and a LOGOS user, this is so encouraging–I am grateful you shared this article.
