If you’ve been keeping tabs on the Pre-Pub page over the last couple of weeks, you’ve probably noticed the scores of titles published by Baker. We just announced 9 new collections containing a total of 67 books from Baker covering topics like hermeneutics, Old Testament studies, New Testament studies, theology, preaching, counseling, and more.

Which collections or individual books are you looking forward to most?
By the way, this is still only part of what I had in mind in my post about lots of great books coming down the pike. Still more to come.
Good new blog look. Now phil you must be joking what do you mean by this is only part of what i had in mind …Still more to come. What more to come! With all this Baker stuff please don’t forget Ephesians: An Exegetical Commentary By Harold W. Hoehner.
I need a favour from you guys at Logos please make sure you Square all things with baker so that there is no last minute cancellation.
What more can be on offer? I guess i will just have to stay tuned & keep my eyes on the Pre-pub page. Quite frankly i am astonished at the recent offering from you guys but at some point all good things must come to an end.
Phil, excellent new offerings, kudos to whoever makes the call on these. Quick couple questions though…
Any plans to make some of these available individualy? Specifically Schreiner’s New Testament Theology
Carson and Beale’s Commentary on the New Testament Use of the Old Testament
Vanhoozer’s Dictionary for Theological Interpretation of the Bible?
Also, the Brazos Theological Commentary is done by a Baker sub-publisher. Seeing as you are doing a lot with Baker, any plans to put that on Logos seeing that with this years batch they should have enough for a 7 or so volume set?
Keep up the great work and nice new format for the blog.
I’d like to also request individual items. Like most people, I simply can’t afford to buy collections of books where many of the books are not ones I need. I’d be glad if you could pass these comments to Baker. I invest a lot of money in pre-pubs (I’ve currently got $4,500 committed to the pre-pub program), so I’m not someone who wants to get something for nothing, and I don’t mind investing in the right texts. But even I’m not going to buy a collection of 5-15 vaguely related books, just because I want one or two from the collection.
So can I plead at least the following books be released individually:
I need the Encountering the OT for a course at seminary this semester. Any idea when it’s available or should I just buy the print book.
Also per Ted Hans comment, I’m also very interested in Hoehner’s Ephesians Exegetical Commentary. My area of interest is mostly in the Greek exegesis area as well as first century backgrounds.
Thanks for all the efforts to get such great books. I love getting my pre-pubs!!!
Here’s my little wish list: Greek Verbs in the NT by Lawrence Vance; Chronological Aspects of Christ by Harold Hoehner; Commentary on 1 Corinthians by David Garland; The Text of the New Testament: Its Transmission, Corruption and Restoration by Bruce Metzger; Greek-English Lexicon of the Septuagint by T. Muraoka; A Greek Student’s Intermediate Reader by Henrickson and Philippians by Jerry L. Sumney.
The recent offerings on pre-pub from Baker contains 3 items from the Encountering Biblical Studies series. why not complete the series in another offer?
Thanks
