Today's video focuses on different reports and resources that the Apostolic Fathers resources complement through providing text on hover, on how references to Apostolic Fathers within lexicons can be exploited, and also how Apostolic Fathers information can be used in the Bible Word Study report.
Note: The video discusses two resources that do not ship with Apostolic Fathers but can be added to your digital library: NA27 (included in "language" base packages) and the BDAG lexicon.
Okay, so this is an old blog post, but I just now purchased the Apostolic Fathers collection and I can't figure out how to do a Morphological Search. I can pull up "Apostolic Fathers: Greek Texts" under "Bibles." But when I go to select a range, it doesn't allow anything from the Apostolic Fathers. Any suggestions?

There are a couple of ways to perform a morphology search on the Apostolic Fathers.
1. Use the Greek Morphological Bible Search. In the Bibles drop down, select "The Apostolic Fathers: Greek Texts." Ignore the range for now. We hope to allow you to specify a range in the future.
2. Use Selected Text > "word" (Lemma) > Speed Search This Resource from the right-click menu from within the Apostolic Fathers Greek text.
3. Use the Bible Word Study Report.

Thanks, Phil! 1 and 2 are helpful, though I don't know what BibleStudy report is on 3. I tried searching Logos help, this blog and the Logos website for it and didn't find anything.
One thing that would be nice is if the search results for primary texts like the Apostolic Fathers would be for it to list out the texts in sequential order from the texts of the Apostolic Fathers like a search in the Bible. Perhaps this is part of what you're working on? And I would say the same thing for items like Philo, Josephus, and the Pseudepigrapha... but I don't have them, so I don't know how they're set up. Do those Greek texts do searches more like the Greek NT and LXX or more like searching through books like the Apostolic Fathers?

Sorry about that. I meant Bible *Word* Study Report (Tools > Bible Study > Bible Word Study).
As for as sorting goes, you can change this in the search results page. At the top, there is a button that has A, Z, and a down arrow. If you click it, you can choose between "Sort Results by Rank" and "Sort Results by Location." Rank is the default. Location is what you want.

Actually, I meant more than just sorting by location but how it looks with a Bible search result too. For example, this is kinda what a Bible search looks like...
John 8:5 [] ?? ?? ?? ???? ???? ?????? ?????????? ??? ???????? ????????. ?? ??? ?? ??????;
Versus, what a book search looks like...
3 [The Shepherd of Hermas, Vision II, iii, 4]
????????? ?? ?? ????? ??? ?????, ???? ????????????? ?? ?? ????? ?? ???.
It just looks clunky with the book search, I'd rather it look simpler, something like:
Herm Vis II.iii.4 [] ????????? ?? ?? ????? ??? ?????, ???? ????????????? ?? ?? ????? ?? ???.
And all lined up like in a Bible search. I hope that makes more sense.

On your request about ordering the search results more like Bible searching you can actually do this with another click or two. Once you have the search results available, look in the upper right portion of the search results dialog. One of the options is Concordance. Click it. This allows a resorting of search hits in a few ways. In morphological texts, it allows a "lemma report" style view (that's the "By Word" option), or it allows one to sort the hits by reference (the "By Reference" option). If you do Concordance | By Reference, I'm guessing that's what you're looking for.
