  1. Timothy Drawbaugh says:

A word of caution. The IVP "Dictionary of Jesus and the Gospels" included in the IVP Essential Reference Collection is the 1992 First Edition, and not the 2013 Second Edition that is included in the Logos 8-volume offering, "The IVP Bible Dictionary Series." The 8-volume series states of the Second Edition, "Over ninety percent of the articles have been completely rewritten, and the rest thoroughly revised and updated. Here is the doorway into a reliable and comprehensive summary and appraisal of the last twenty years of Jesus scholarship." Which raises the question, why is it included in one series set, but not the other?
