Pastoral ministry is demanding

Pastoral work can be as tough as it is rewarding. Between church services, Bible studies, visitations, community involvement, board meetings, and any number of emergencies, it can be hard to find time with your own loved ones.

Here are five ways to redeem your time by making Logos 5 your pastoral assistant.

1. Logos will do your research

It’s one thing to have hundreds, if not thousands, of books in your library. If you have to rely on your memory in order to locate pertinent information, you’ve already lost valuable time (and information). But what if you were able to tell your assistant to go through your library and pull together everything on grace or 2 Corinthians 12:8–9? Logos 5 can do that for you—in seconds! You can even get important background information, genealogies, images, and more. Think about all the time you could save in research alone.

Not only will Logos help you do your research faster—with its new and enhanced features, you’ll go so much deeper in your studies.

2. Logos will help you build better sermons

Imagine sticking your head out of your office, giving your assistant a topic or Scripture and—in moments—getting back a list of relevant sermon ideas, preaching themes, and sermon outlines delivered. With Logos 5’s new Sermon Starter Guide, that’s exactly what you get. Not only that, but you’ll be directed to an archive of sermons, so you can see how your topic has been covered by other preachers. Take Logos’ outlines, export them to a word processor, and craft a sermon that fits your audience perfectly.

3. Logos will expand your reach

Logos doesn’t just help you do research and write incredible sermons. It helps you connect with your community. When you combine Logos 5 with Faithlife.com, you can share life outside of your weekly gathering. Share your thoughts on Scripture passages, read insights from your community, create reading plans, share important documents, and more.

4. Logos will keep your devotions on track

Not only are pastors responsible for feeding their flocks, they still have to keep up on their personal disciplines. Wouldn’t it be helpful to have your assistant remind you where you are in your personal Bible reading, or who you need to pray for? Logos 5 can take care of that. You can set up reading plans for your Bible reading—or, for that matter, any other book in your Logos library—and stay up to date. And we’re not talking about just pre-crafted reading plans. You can create the reading plan that works for you.

Logos will also make sure you don’t miss anyone in your prayers. Craft prayer lists and see reminders every time you open Logos 5.

And you can work on your memorization with the Scripture Memory Tool. Logos 5 will run you through exercises to help you memorize passages faster.

5. Logos will help build smart presentations

Seamlessly export information, infographics, and images from Logos 5 into your presentations. When you use Proclaim church presentation software, it’s easy to create presentations that anyone on your staff (with internet access) can access and contribute to from anywhere. Logos 5 doesn’t just collect your information for you—it lets you easily share that information with the people who need to see it!

These are just a few of the ways that Logos 5 will help you do more while saving you valuable time. Are you a pastor using Logos 5? Leave us a comment and let us know how it’s helping you!

In the resource “Principle Preaching…” what does the light text “6 highlights” represent? I have tried highlighting them and clicking as well. I get no additional info.
