Recently, the John Wesley Collection (29 vols.) was placed on Pre-Pub. Not only does it contain the complete Works of John Wesley and Wesley’s Explanatory Notes for both the Old and New Testaments, but it also includes the authoritative eight-volume Journals of the Rev. John Wesley and an expansive, three-volume biography. To celebrate this awesome collection, I’ve put together ten of my favorite John Wesley quotes:

    Our Best Selling Books on Marriage

    Here at our headquarters in Bellingham, WA, the sun has just started poking out, tulips are blooming, and love, along with cotton, pollen, and many other allergens, is in the air.

    Hello spring time.

    Spring and summer are the most popular seasons for marriage in our part of the world and we thought it would be helpful to provide some resources for the couples, counselors, and pastors involved in pre-marital counseling.

    We recently went through our entire library of marriage books, grouped them together, and ranked them based on their popularity in the past 15 months.

    A few interesting notes:

    • Because buying a collection gives you the cheapest price-per-book, almost all of our collections outsell individual books.
    • We added many new individual titles in the past year which you may not have seen yet, such as Covenant Marriage by Gary Chapman and God on Sex by Daniel Akin.

    We hope these books will be a source of wisdom and inspiration as you grow in your marriage and encourage new couples to grow in theirs.

    The Thomas Cranmer Collection on Community Pricing

Some people (like me, at first) might take one look at the chart, containing all kinds of dots, arrows and numbers, and run a mile.     Logos 4: Update Logos on the Spur of the Moment

    At Tools | Program Settings you can tell Logos when to search for and download updates.  You can also initiate an update any time you like:

    • Make sure you are connected to the internet
    • Type Update Now in the Command box
    • Press the Enter key
    • A popup “window” indicates if an update has been found
    • After the download completes, restart Logos to install the update

    Remember to check your Logos Home Page for a description of any new features downloaded or a list of updated resources.

    Today is observed worldwide by a number of different names: Great and Holy Friday, Friday of Lamentation, High Friday, Passion Friday, as well as Long Friday in Scandinavian countries. But we know it in the West as Good Friday. No matter what you call it, this is the day that that the church has commonly recognized and remembered Christ’s crucifixion and death at Calvary.

    Logos 4: Configure the Reverse Interlinear Pane

    One of the most significant resources Logos has ever produced is the reverse interlinear which takes English students back to original Hebrew and Greek words without the aid of Strong’s numbers. You may not know, though, you can easily configure the Bible’s interlinear pane for your specific needs:

    • Open an English Bible with the reverse interlinear option (ESV, NRSV, KJV, NKJV, NASB, or for NT only NLT, NIV, LEB)
    • Click the reverse interlinear icon on the Bible’s toolbar which places the reverse interlinear pane at the bottom of the panel
    • Right click on the word surface in the pane
    • Check/Uncheck the lines of information you wish to show/hide

    This configuration remains even after closing and reopening the Bible!
